Position Overview

An established pediatric dental practice in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an experienced Dental Office Manager to lead the daily administrative and operational functions of a busy clinical environment.


This leadership role plays a central part in maintaining operational efficiency, supporting team performance, and ensuring the practice delivers a consistent and welcoming experience for children and families. The Office Manager works closely with providers and staff to maintain organized systems, coordinate workflows, and ensure the practice operates smoothly each day.

The ideal candidate is a confident leader who is highly organized, experienced in dental office operations, and comfortable managing the pace of a busy pediatric practice.


Key Responsibilities


Practice Operations

  • Manage daily front office operations and patient scheduling
  • Oversee coordination between clinical and administrative teams to maintain efficient patient flow
  • Ensure scheduling, staffing, and administrative systems support both patient care and practice productivity
  • Monitor office systems, policies, and workflows to maintain operational efficiency


Team Leadership

  • Lead and supervise front desk and administrative team members
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and team communication
  • Provide leadership that supports a positive, collaborative workplace culture
  • Ensure team members understand expectations, workflows, and office standards


Clinical Team Coordination

  • Coordinate scheduling and daily workflows between front office and clinical teams
  • Address operational challenges throughout the clinical day to maintain schedule flow
  • Work closely with providers to ensure scheduling supports both patient care and production goals
  • Promote clear communication between administrative and clinical staff


Patient Experience

  • Ensure the office provides a welcoming and organized experience for children and families
  • Address patient questions, scheduling concerns, and front office issues professionally
  • Maintain high standards of service and communication throughout the practice


Revenue & Financial Management

  • Monitor daily production and schedule utilization
  • Oversee insurance verification and front office billing processes
  • Coordinate with billing staff to monitor accounts receivable and collections
  • Ensure financial workflows support consistent revenue and operational performance


Administrative Management

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Ensure administrative systems follow office policies and compliance standards
  • Oversee front office processes to support efficient practice operations


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in dental office management or dental administration
  • Experience in a pediatric or family dental practice preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Knowledge of dental scheduling systems, insurance verification, and billing workflows is preferred
